Helen Sadler is a British artist living in Ibiza, creating unique and energetic acrylic abstract paintings, inspired by the light and colours in nature.

Helen has always had a love for art and design, studying ‘Foundation Art and Design’ at Weston-Super-Mare Art College in 1998, and graduating with a ‘BA (Hons) Degree in Graphic Design’ at Staffordshire University in 2001, where she learned about the diverse nature of contemporary visual communication and creative art direction for advertising.

She spent two summers working in Ibiza, in 2000 and 2001, before moving to Manchester in 2002, and working with creative advertising and design agencies.  She studied ‘Art Direction for Film’, and ‘Photography’ at St Martins in London, and took part in D&AD creative design and art direction workshops in Leeds and Manchester, before working with art directors on National TV, advertising, film and photography productions across the UK. In Nov 2007 she left the UK to do a ski season in the French Alps, returning to Ibiza once again for the summer season in June 2008. Since April 2010 she has lived in Ibiza all year round, stepping away from production work at the end of 2012, to continue as a freelance creative with her graphic design, photography and illustration skills.

In Nov 2016 she began her full time career as an artist, creating abstract art inspired by Ibiza. As a photographer she has always been inspired by nature and light, and found a way to incorporate that fragmented colour and energy into her abstract art, enjoying the creative expression and freedom that comes from working with paint. Helen works intuitively to create her beautiful, elegant and professional paintings, and she is confident in creating small or large scale original abstract art, as well as digital visual art and multimedia design. Helen also works with interior designers, art directing commissions to suit individual tastes for interior design projects.
